Set up your plugin correctly from the first translation.

Use this guide after purchasing and downloading the customer plugin.

Before installation

Requirements

  • A working WordPress website using HTTPS.
  • TranslatePress installed and configured with at least one target language.
  • An OpenAI API account with API billing enabled.
  • A valid ContextTranslate AI for TranslatePress & SEO license.
  • Administrator access to the WordPress website.
Step 1

Install the customer plugin

  1. Download the plugin ZIP from your customer account.
  2. Open WordPress → Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Select the ZIP and click Install Now.
  4. Activate the plugin.
Do not upload the license-server plugin to the customer website. The license server belongs only on the seller’s store.
Step 2

Activate your license

  1. Open the plugin settings page.
  2. Copy the license key from your account or order email.
  3. Paste it into the License Key field.
  4. Click Activate.

A one-site license cannot be activated on another domain until the first activation is removed.

Step 3

Connect an OpenAI API key

  1. Create an API key in your OpenAI account.
  2. Make sure API billing is active.
  3. Paste the key into the plugin’s OpenAI setting.
  4. Save and run the connection test.
Security: Never send your OpenAI API key through email or support tickets. The seller does not need the key to help with normal plugin issues.
Step 4

Configure TranslatePress languages

The plugin reads the languages configured in TranslatePress. Add the target languages before opening the translation workflow.

Step 5

Run a translation

  1. Open the page or post you want to translate.
  2. Select the target language or languages.
  3. Choose whether SEO and slug generation should run.
  4. Start the context translation.
  5. Wait until every batch is completed.
  6. Review the translated page on the front end.

Titles, descriptions, and URLs

When enabled, the plugin can generate missing source-language SEO fields and localized versions for each translated language. Existing fields should not be overwritten unless the selected workflow explicitly allows it.

Troubleshooting

License activation fails

Confirm HTTPS is active, the key is correct, the domain allowance is available, and the seller’s licensing website is reachable.

OpenAI request fails

Check the API key, API billing, model access, server firewall rules, and the error shown by the plugin.

Translations do not appear

Confirm the TranslatePress languages and tables are available, then clear page and object caches.
